Internal parasites can also cause a lot of
problems with young kittens. This little girl kitty is about three weeks old. And it’s time
for her first de-worming. The de-worming is a liquid medication that comes in an oral
syringe and we will give that by mouth to help rid her body of any parasites that she
might have gotten from her mother either while she was in her mother’s uterus or from nursing.
The parasites round worms can be transmitted through the milk. So de-worming schedule is
according to your veterinarian really, but most times it’s every two weeks until they
are about ten weeks old or until they have a negative fecal sample from their vet. And
we are going to just administer this de-wormer for this kitty, let her open her mouth and
just a little squirt in. And she drinks it right down. And that will help her to remain
healthy so she doesn’t get diarrhea or poor appetite.
